Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)

Kualiti Alam Waste Management Centre (KAWMC) has two facilities to treat waste water generated in daily operation of treatment and disposal of Scheduled Waste. Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is built to treat contaminated surface runoff from the operation area and effluent from the scheduled waste treatment process.

The process is a combination of physical-chemical treatment, biological treatment and has the capacity of 300m3/day. The ETP plant is also equipped with Ultrafiltration/Reverse Osmosis polishing system to ensure treated effluent consistently meet Standard A limit as stipulated in Industrial effluent Regulation 2009.
